SIPP Purchases of French Property
Services
We deal with the purchases of French property by SIPPs. This includes leaseback properties and other commercial properties. You will need to ascertain separately whether your SIPP provider will allow you to purchase French property and their fees.
Fees
These are a minimum of £6,500 made up of two elements:
- The SIPP structure set up and advice - a minimum of £3,500 (plus VAT). We will provide an estimate at the outset
- The conveyancing - including the report on title to the SIPP trustees. The conveyancing for a leaseback apartment or similar purchase is charged as for any non-SIPP transaction with fees starting at £3000 (no VAT). For other commercial buildings fees will depend on the nature of the property and the transaction. Please note our fees are exclusive of disbursements and in addition to the notaire's fees.
Please note that the costs generally do not make these transactions cost effective if the pension fund is less than £200,000. You must however make your own assessment of the cost benefit position.
